On September 5, Russian saboteurs attacked an ambush against the soldiers of the 2nd company battalion near Vesela Gora village. People with the Ukrainian flag came to the column, when the cars stopped, they were fired at by ambushes from machine guns. The wounded were shot dead. Ivan Isik with heavy burns was captured. He died in the Lugansk hospital. A month later, volunteers were able to retrieve Ivan's body.
